How to run a bake sale sign-up
A bake sale needs two kinds of help: people who bake and people who staff the table. This template has both. The baking slots are by type with a target count, so you get a mix instead of a table of chocolate chip cookies, and the shift slots cover setup, the cash box and cleanup. Bakers can add a note such as "nut-free" or "3 dozen", which helps whoever prices and labels on the morning of the sale.
- Set the sale date and put drop-off time and wrapping rules in the note.
- Adjust the baking targets to the size of your sale, about 20 items per expected 30 buyers.
- Create the sheet and share the link in the PTA newsletter or parent group.
- On the day, print the sheet as your drop-off checklist and tick off bakers as they arrive.
Tips
- Always add a gluten-free or nut-free slot. Those sell out first.
- Two short cash box shifts fill faster than one long one.
- Ask bakers to note quantities ("2 dozen") so you can plan the pricing table.
- The sheet deletes itself 30 days after the sale, along with every name on it.
