Each slot shows how many spots are left. When it’s full, the button disappears, and two people grabbing the last spot at once can’t both get it.

No. They open your link, tap a slot and type a first name or nickname, plus an optional note like "lasagna". We refuse names that look like an email address, a phone number or a link, so nobody posts contact details by accident.
The browser they signed up on remembers their sign-up, so they can tap "Remove me" next to their name. If they switched phones, the organizer can remove any name from the organizer link.
When you create a sheet you get two links: a share link for your group and a private organizer link for you. The organizer link lets you edit slots, remove names, close sign-ups and delete the sheet. We only store a scrambled (hashed) copy of it, so we can’t recover it: keep it safe. It is also saved in your browser.
Automatically, 30 days after the event date, or 90 days after you made it if it has no date. Every name on it goes too. You can also delete it yourself at any time from the organizer link, and it is gone immediately.
Yes. Open the sheet and press Print. Each slot prints with the names signed up so far and a blank line for every open spot, so it doubles as a paper sign-up or a check-in list on the day.
